PTSD & Trauma

PTSD and trauma can make it difficult to feel fully safe, calm, or present.

Trauma can continue to affect emotional well-being long after a difficult or overwhelming experience has passed. PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) may develop after experiencing or witnessing trauma and can affect emotions, sleep, relationships, stress levels, and daily functioning.

What can PTSD & Trauma look like?

  • Flashbacks or nightmares
  • Anxiety or feeling constantly on edge
  • Emotional numbness or feeling disconnected
  • Avoidance of reminders related to past experiences
  • Irritability or emotional overwhelm
  • Difficulty sleeping or concentrating
  • Feeling constantly alert or unsafe
